Hey , was looking at the BA intake and wondering if the section that connects from the throttle body to the airbox will fit on an EL.

What I am thinking is that I can cut it in half after those two bolts on the BBM and join the flexible hose bit up from the standard EL intake.

Has anyone tried this? It should give a power gain similar to those mandrel intakes. -Who knows maybe even the resonator will do something too.

Got a picture of the BA set up? I've never seen (save for the V8 one fitted with a shaker bonnet scoop) it so can't imagine what your talking about.

So it has been tried?

Since I may be able to get a BA intake for $0 (against $180 for mandrel) I think I will give it a go, It can't be worse than the EL 90 degree elbow.

Here is a picture of the BA intake Vs the Gli intake. I think I could either cut the Ba one back towards the two bolts on the intake manifold or connect the BA flexible hose half way along the gli pipe from the airbox.

If you turned the GLi pipe around 180deg it would face towards the manifold and probably just about line up nicely (unless it also angled up in which case ignore me) :)

Sorry better late than never. It has made the tnink more responsive. I 'll find out how much extra grunt it makes tomorrow at the dyno
