my mate has recently bought a Ba falcon ute 4L vct series one and is over the moon with it..
but the fuel ecomony is terrible. just when taking off it goes up to 50-60L on the trip counter on the dash.
he has change the fuel filter and has just bought new coil packs?....
it also has trouble starting... like gets flooded and has too keep turning over the motor(no accelerator)
he filled it up with bp ultimate to the brim and only got 250 k's out of it.
he leaves out of town and does highway driving but his average fuel consumption is around 18L
any help on this would be great as he just got a 10 grand loan out and its hitting his wallet for fuel!
all that is done to the ute is an 2.5" exhuast.

bad fuel/lagging/missing spark/flooding/slow/ba ford/
any help would be great

i would look at how old the spark plugs are then the o2 sensor and look at the vacuum hose to the fuel reg or the fuel reg itself..
