Hey there
I am the proud owner of a Blueprint BA XR6 and was wondering what the best ways were to make them go better?
I heard that you cant put a chip in them or something because they can be picked up by the Ford WDS computer when you have it serviced?
I am really happy with the car otherwise, love the look, the handling etc, but would just like to give it a little more urge in a straight line... i hate baing passed by VS SS Commodores.......
Any help would be much appreciated,
Cheers
Shadow

I heard another rumour that putting extractors on it can void the factory warranty because you have to move the oxygen sensor or something, and also that they cook the trans coz they run too close?
Would a K&N Filter be a good option?

there is a process called a reflash I think. It has not yet been released but it is a retune for the factory ECU. Its a similar to the LS1 edit for the LS1 V8.. should be avalible soon keep your eyes pealed.

Go Herrod, it won't void the warranty because some dealerships are partnered with them.

why didnt i buy a turbo?
1) Price
2) Insurance (im only 20, imagine me trying to insure that!)
3) durability - i cant see a turbo going strong at 200,000k's.

from what I read and heard the durability of the turbo 6 is pretty good. I don't think it would be much difference between them, price there isn't that much between them, whats an extra $4000 or so, you will proberly spend that in mods, but insurance I could understand

just depends on how far you want to go, to keep it simple go the reg, zorst, air and even a chip if you really want to, and dont stress about the wds as most dealerships wont even do a diagnostic every service even though they say they do, and besides if you have any concerns about the chip when you get it serviced, just remove it

And the wds reflash is a load of s**t it is nothing like the LS1 edit all it does is resets all the idle, fuel and air mixtures back to zero to erase any unrelavant info, that may have been stored
