Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've been on these forums.... Might be landing myself back in the land of ford.

My brother has a BA Series 1 XR 6 Auto... It's done 220,000 k's he is going to sell it, as hes going away to the army.. he said hes happy to sell it to me for $3500.. Which is a crazy price, so I would be silly not to take it up regardless. Lucky to have a generous brother.

What problems are known on the BA XR6 around 200,000+ k's?

If the trans has been replaced,then plain sailing.The radiator for them had a habit of splitting and filling the trans with water.At the price he is asking,then you would be foolish not to take it up-imho.

Get a tans cooler fitted, get it serviced, oil, coils, sparkplugs etc and it should be fine

, seen a ba taxi the other day with 800,000 on the clock
