Howdy all, me again, finally got the good ole eb on the road again, what a feat! im so stoked! now, onto the topic...
i know of someone who is selling a ba xr6 for an absolute song, and am wanting to find out if its stolen, legit, oweing money on etc. simplest way to check is revs, this i know. however, can i check with ford if the vin and engine numbers match with their records? if i do buy the car, i dont want there to be any chance of me inheriting a huge debt, nor do i want to be acquiring stolen property

Yeah ford should be able to tell you if the engine matches the body.
Revs- is that the vehicle securities register in your state? If not (lol), ring the VSR to find out if its under finance, ring cops to find out if its reported stolen.

yeah, revs is teh register of encumbered vehicles service
its in NSW.. didnt think of calling the coppers... theres an idea... for a purchase of this magnitude, i want to make sure that everything is 100% ok... im looking at 10x the maximum amount ive ever spent in one go here... :S

yeah, well in my mind anyway... lets just say the audio system i have in my 626 is half of what theyre asking.

LOL. Normally i find from what ppl tell me that its always good to look at the location it is selling in... and umm half the price of sound system in 626... Had a 323 sold the whole thing for 50 bucks LOL (including the speakers)

well, alpine type x subs, computer and av systems dont come cheap. all audio gear was alpine
 so if you get the hint its not cheap, but even so... 2 of those for a ba xr6... droooooooooooooool
