hi all i have a 2003 ba xr6 turbo it has a stage 2 shift kit 60 pound injectors after market fuel pump and a falsh tune the motor is still stock and is putting 282 killowatts at the wheels now i have a problem with it. it still boosts up but has lost alot of power so i decided to take the turbo off and have a look i then realised the turbo housing was cracked so since then i bhave bought a new one and it still has lost its power any infomation would be really appreciated thanks.

maybe the cracked housing wasnt the source of your power loss to start with...
it could be a collapsed cat. is it still making the same amount of boost? any other symptoms you can tell us?

well i took it to the machanic and he had it hooked up to a scan tool or of some sought and while he was driving i was holding this scan tool and as he would boost it and it wouldnt even show up on the screen i have checked all my air lines and theres no air getting out that i can see of and i have only realised it has been gettin oil around the spark plugs but still pretty shore it wouldnt lose that amount of power coz at the moment it will just keep up with a standard xr6.

Still, if a cop is sitting behind you at a set if lights, they usually run your plates. They find that the car is a turbo, and his license shows p's... Put 2 n 2, together... lol

lol they have pulled me up a few times but they never have looked under the bonnet and i have already lost me licence for overloading all the time on my red p,s got minus 36 demerit points so the turbo is just a probject at the moment until i get my licence back lol.

na i am pretty shore i have learnt my lesson now... and the way i see it wasnt drink driving or speeding or any of that s**t pretty shore they crack down on speeding drivers and drink drivers at the moment.

Mate, racking up 36 demerit points by the age of 19 isn't something to f*cking brag about. Now you're blatantly driving a car that is well above the power allowed for a P Plater. I hope you don't find what's f*cked with your turbo. Idiots like you make it hard on others who do the right thing and still get f*cked on.

if you dont like what i have to say f**k off and have a sook to some one who cares.. Like i said i have already learnt my lesson and the plans are to get it goin and then sell it let alone your in a different state. Different rules do apply. |
