you need to sit down and ask yourself what you want.

is it power, looks etc.

I have the ba xt and have lowered it, dark tints and put the xr6/8 rims on it. I get loads of looks and comments and I'm happy with it.

I believe it handles better than the xr6 (much lower centre of gravity) and it goes just as well if not better. But it is still not an xr6 and so has the standard interior but that dosent bother me.

I was going to spend 6-8 g on a supercharger or the nizpro cam, exh, ext, flasher unit etc but have decided to wait a year or two and buy a XR6T.

If performance is what you want get an xt lowering and rims about 2500, exh, ext, cai will get you easily over 200 fwkw and will cost about another 1700. The insurance will be cheaper also and wait for 4-5 years and get the T then.

The XR6 is based on the XT so it is very plain on the inside. This means no premium sound, no rear power windows, no LSD, etc! And because 98% of used XR6s in Perth are ex fleet, they have no options at all!!

XR6 does have LSD standard. :D

MKI XR6's don't. Its an option but the MKII XR6's come with traction control and LSD standard afaik.

If i had the money i'd get the XR6. Better interior, bodykit, heaps better colours and the front looks a fair bit nicer. But i still believe you can make an XT look just as good. I love the look of the XT with no badges or spoiler in dark colours dumped with some 18's. I'd spend the extra 9 grand on the XT, make it sweeeeet..

I'm aware of the massive time difference hahahaha.

Between the BA XR6 and BA XT exhaust... is there any real change in sound?

Haha, how's your build going btw? Haven't seen much happening. Get that exhaust made up?

I've basically stopped the build at the moment, till I work out what I want to do with my Gas system (It's the old mixer/aspirated system, I can't change most things in the engine without stuffing it up)

and I'm saving up my money for the time being to just finish of some of the body work (Making it look/resemble a BA Fairmont Ghia - just finding the parts)

I've got some weird Whine/Grind sound in my first gear, but that's being checked today to see if the transmission is stuffed, diff is stuffed or it needs a fluid fix.

The exhaust is half made, it's sitting down at an exhaust place right now, mate who works there just put it aside and said 'Whenever you want to finish it off, just give me a call"

d***head who owned this car before me had the old V8 engine in it, came as a extra... he's f**k something up we've not seen/realise till recently.
