My BA XR6 - 5 speed, currently has:

- 19" Typhoon Series 2 Rims.
- Lowered with King Springs (2x Superlow, 2x Ultralow).
- Typhoon Airbox and Snorkel with K&N Filter.
- Pacemaker Extractors, High Flow Cat and 2.5" Cat-Back.
- Generic CAPA Tune.

I'm sort of running out of cheap ideas...
What do you guys reckon?

Bluepower / G&D Airbox, Custom Tune, Diff Gears, Underdrives none are real cheap except Underdrives.

Is that what your looking for, performance mods?

thousand bucks will get you a set of 3.9 diff gears fitted... another thousand will get you a custom tune... $500 should get you a rip shifter for the 5 speed. $750 for a bigger throttle body...$350 for an SS inductions cold air intake.. $210 for an underdrive/pulley...$7500 for a turbo fitted and tuned....

Yeah I'm after either performance or cosmetic mods...

But I'm not looking for a 1/4 mile time...

Would a better intake be much better than my Typhoon one? - Would I notice the difference?
Same deal with throttle bodies - Would I notice anything?

I have been reading into underdrives, and hear different things... read a couple people say that their headlights dim at idle... and I'm still after a bit of practicality lol...
Although if they make a decent improvement I may consider it...

Yeah If you know anyone with a Mercury Silver boot that wants a spoiler, I'll swap boots with them...
I've debadged it and it looks really neat, I agree, I think removing the spoiler will top it off :) (still need the the towbar bit that pops in the rear bar though.. I removed my towbar on the weekend...)

I think it's hillarious that you blokes buy an XR and then remove the spoiler, lower the suspension and change the wheels etc!!!

I mean honestly, why not buy a cheaper Fairmont Ghia and then do all the same things? You get all the expensive interior gear (like the Lux ICC, leather, mem seat etc, the same drivetrain and performance) at the same or less money than your now de-optioned XR's???

Admittedly, the front end on the XR's are a wee bit better looking, but really........ (also I am old now, so prefer the slushbox to the manwell, so no differece there)!!

Getting back to the OP's ? tho, next for me would be a stezza upgrade!! $1000 will get you sounding good to go with the looks!

XR's look heaps better :P (although I do love BF MKII ghias, but if i bought one of those I would be going for a different look, 20" chromies, dumped and dark tint...)

I've got an amp and sub... but its connected dodgy with a high to low level converter off the rears... but they don't make it easy in the BA's :(

Nah I don't have one, I might look into them...
I like the ones that have "XR" lazercut in them, but I've seen others that look like they just have a badge stuck on them.

Is there such thing as a genuine one?

The Genuine lower Mesh's have 'XR' in the centre, the non geniuine have 'XR6' or 'XR8'.
