well as of late, i've achieved 178, I reckon with an edit, I would be bloody close to 200 and if not, maybe a manual conversion would just tip it over the mark.

Smiley thats a fair effort your car has made 178 rwkw but i was just thinking if it was done in shootout mode it ads 15 percent to the rear wheel gain.To get a really acurrate figure the car needs to be dynoed on two dyno's.I think with your mods u should really be around 160 at the wheels as a stock xt will make 135-140 rwkw. But ya neverf no your car maybe a one out of the box.

to get a really accurate figure you need to burn the chassis dyno and put it on an engine dyno. thats a big hassle but so everyone goes with chassis dynos as ease of use. theres even variation between engine dynos so hey the best dyno is the track it dont lie.
extractors and a good exhaust can pick up 20kw's, air intake about 7 or 8 MAX and an auto NA 6 will make the lower end of 130rwkw

with an exhaust and extractors, they've proven a 12rwkw gain with the typhoon airbox and K&N but thats very generous. And I can't testify the validity of those results first hand.

I still think many people are penalising their exhaust systems by not getting a high flow cat.

heres the graph, it did 3 runs ranging between 175 and 178. The dyno was fairly constant with most people, deviating only by about 3rwkw. And some were rather dissapointed with their results so I don't thing the dyno itself is skewing results.

Not on the dyno, but they do on the track

Comparing my 146rwkw EF to a local BA that has run >180rwkw on the dyno - both 5 speed manuals, both run exactly the same ET and MPH down the 1/4 mile (and my EF had a 3.08 open wheeler).

Paul from CVE has got a BA Fairmont Ghia, his is an 8 but with very few changes, extractors, zorts, and a tune hes got 230+rwkw, 13.52 @ 102mph on full street strim, the BA's seem to have very good potential across the range.

i knew that part about on the track head to head is pretty even Ba-more power but more weight.. and the worked EF-less power but less weight.. I was more referring to dyno comps and asssumed people knew that.. BA still has it all over an EF both worked on the DYNO.. I am a drag racing whore after all..

ford made the dohc 6 to dominate the NA 6 section at dyno days :) main opponents are the 350z and m3 im unsure what 350 makes but i read in a mag at a dyno day there was an e46 m3 that made about 180rwkw iirc. anyone know the summernats record for na 6?

Hey smiley as i said i think when cars are put on the dyno in shootout mode there can be up to a 10% percent gain in horsepower but in saying that your car maybe a well run in motor.

Brendan mock's ba manual has recorded 180rwkw with his dev3 kit and that is with a manual trans and unichip ecu his car is now at 195 rwkw with a different inlet manifold whick he claims produces 15 rwkw gain.

im have spoken to Rob herrod and he said he has had a ba xt auto with the mock dev3 kit and he fitted his own custom cams with minor head porting and a capa flash tuner and it has recorded 212 rwkw so i think it is possible to get over 200+ rwkw.

Rob herrod belives with some cam testing a full head port and polish 220 rwkw is not out of the question.

if you get the dyno figure on a shootout dyno then the figures should be relevant and comparable, but otherwise it don't mean much. My EF got dynoed at 184rwhp with only extractors and 2.5" exhaust - would've been nowhere near that on a shootout dyno but looked good on paper :D
BA 6's are good 200 might be possible but will take a lot of work i'd reckon
