my balencer is dead, high rpm/std balencer = death.

now, when i was cruising the latest parts peddler i spotted a place selling (powerbond, i think) a 15% ?? underdrive for the falcon 6 cyl ea > el. rated to ~6500 rpm. i dont have the add in front of me, so my figures might be a little off.

i know my V8 holden friends swear by these underdrive pullies.
i was thinking it'd be worth it just for better rpm handling.

but i would like to know if they would be worth it, and if any of you guys have one.

any advise would be great, thanks

You can get them for an I6, I maybe interested pending price, maybe a group buy.

would there be any gain on the I6? i wouldn't of thought much, also with the overheating problems would you want to slow your water pump down?

Only one way to find out.. 15% isn't much of an affect on your water pump. But underdriving all accessories by 15% does make a slight improvement to engine reponse, and ultimately power.

Remember that at cruising speeds, engine cooling isnt a big issue, but at higher engine speeds the water will still circulate at an adequate rate.
