G"day to everyone outthere, i would like to have a better idea as to why my xr6 likes to make a bang like a backfire out the exhaust when i "get up it" when i change gears the moment i push the clutch in. i'm thinkin it could be running rich but sometimes it likes the juice round town and other times it seems like normal consumption round town

is it on petrol or gas? sounds like a pretty hefty missfire. might be an idea to check sparkplugs, leads, injectors, change fuel filter.
