clean them down then coat them with vaseline.

When I got my car they were yuk, cleaned em up as good as possible n done as suggested - 2months later they were s**t again.. :o
Got sick of cleaning em so i got NEW connectors and cleaned them up again with wire brush n all; holding up well.
Everyone i know thats had this prob had had to replace the connectors as it just comes back eventually..

corosion/oxidation is a sign of overcharging, check your regulator. they are supposed to oxidise, but not much. what hapens is yr battery is being overcharged, and in turn your acid is getting hot and evaporating, and when the vapor comes in contact with the terminals they oxidise. So yeah, check your regulator.

sorry if this is a stupid question but where is the regulator? thanx

Thats the black box mounted in the back of the altenator.

thanx mate

Go to an auto store, get the terminal cleaner bruch, it cleans the battery stalks and cable termal ends, and get some of the termanal maintence spray stuff.
