Thinking about doing a BBM conversion on the XG. is $200 for BBM and EL air box a good price?

that just for the manifold and airbox? nuffin else? if so, sounds a bit steep

hey mate itd be alot cheaper goin to u-pull it or something like that and then just clean all the parts up yourself definately think its a little expensive

you could get a whole EL engine for not much more, i would keep looking

i did pay $200 about 3 years ago for a bbm conversion..
but it came with everything..
manifold+throttle body,airbox+piping,throttle cable ,accelerator pedal,heater pipes thermostat housing ect..

but you should be able to get it cheaper now...

yea gezza200 i was just quoated 550 for complete el engine, wiring loom and ecu from wreckers cant wait to get it have you thought about an el engine conversion bud

$500 will generally buy you an AU motor.... if not a Ticky

I can get E series motors for <$200... and honestly I wouldnt pay much more than that for one, let alone just the intake side!!

its done 210,000 but i pullin it down anyway n rebuildin it for the turbo kit then i mite finally be able to drive my ea again woo lol bin off tha road for nearly a year now so freakin lame

yer ive thought about the engine conversion but am not that confident in carrying out it out myself, thought a BBM conversion might be a better starting point for now.

Cheers for that SV Valiant any idea what postage would be? ill check out the wreckers and see what i can get my hands on.

Can i expect to gain much from the BBM conversion??

Not sure how much to post but its complete i have three of them of motors that had blown head gaskets but let me know after you check the wreckers out as its no hassle to put in in a box and post it.

Be careful - it's been reported on here that the BBM won't clear the XG bonnet.
Not much detail was said about it - you could try Xfalcon and AFF - someone's probably done it and documented how they did it.
