Yes its bad and yes it will cost alot, does it sound like its coming from the block? if so its prob a big end bearing, I wouldnt keep on driving the car.

no worries, but i dont think i'll wreck it just yet, i might try source a cheap EF motor if it'll fit.
by the way i just aquired a bottle of PRO-MA MBL 8 concentrated oil additive, will this make it ok to drive my car if absolutely necessary?

nope, if the bearing wants to go all the way aint nothing gonna stop it. I saw a Windsor in a Fairlane go once, made some really cool banging noises.

I might be able to help both of you if you were not so far away. I have an EA CPI 5 speed that I may be wrecking it has a good motor (reco head) and a 5 speed.
