from my understanding this is what ive gathered:

Stongest Block - ED
Most Flowing Head - EF
Strongest Crank - AU
Rods - ED

this may not be nessecarily true but from what ive read and heard these are the go. anybody has any corrections please put them forward

Bugger the vct engine. itll be a bastard to set up then when you do you have fewer choices for aftermarket cams.

I thought all the blocks eb->el were the same.

the best flowing e-series head is the eb xr6

crank strenght isnt really an issue (has anyone broken a i6 crank?). EF/EL have more counterweights than others.

Best rod/piston combo would be the AUs due to the extra rod length.
