Hey guys just got my first problem with my BF.The MIL light came on the other day and as with everyone else I read the book and it says its not emission compliant etc.Even disconnected the battery but it reappeared. The car felt fine but when I just filled it up with petrol (Petrol Only) i noticed when i started it up the range was 556km normally reads 670 minimum. What should I do?

Thanks.

You need to find out what code has been logged. ...DO NOT CLEAR THE CODE...

The ECU stores more then just the code, clearing the code will also clear the other info.

Once you know what the code is, you have some idea of where to look and what to test to work out what the actual problem is.

No, you take it to a private workshop that specializes in diagnostics.
