Hey guys.
I have a Ba Mk2 xr6 n/a and Im wanting to find ways to increase the power of it without fitting a turbo or anything.

I heard that getting ahold of a big mouth air induction snorkel or a xr6T snorkel and swaping it with my stock snorkel would incease my power and all round performace. Would this actually work??

If so, does anyone know the best place I can get my hands on one?

Thanks in advance.

Yes minimal gains can be had by a xr6t upper intake snorkel and even a f6 typhoon lower snorkel.
xr6t snorkel is direct fit but the f6 lower intake needs a hole cut out of the airbox. if you get both it shouldnt cost much more than about $120

Yep, the XR6T snorkel is a pretty cheap and popular intake upgrade for the BA/BF NA 6's. The XR6T snorkel has a bigger opening and throat so it should allow more air into the airbox. Look into fitting a typhoon style 'behind the headlight' intake as well, it apparently works well with BA/BF's.

Best place to get one would probably be Ford to be honest. Pretty sure the XR6T snorkel's are only like $40 through Ford spare parts from memory. PapaSmurf on these forums will be able to confirm :)

Intake mods will not really improve anything until you fit extractors and a sports exhaust.. So do not expect gains except for a louder induction roar../.

Our sponsor-F T G has the equipment you require. I know, I fitted an F6 lower box and wide mouth top intake that goes with it, to my BA MK1, and I believe it has made it peppier, and yes it makes a roaring sound under heavy acceleration. Overall, extremely happy!

typhoon set up (lower duct and upper larger snorkel) with K&N filter, is the best set up.
ive had and tried in this order
-stock
-xr6t
-typhoon with and with out K&N
-pod filter
-SS growler
the growler gave me no performance increment over the typhoon, however s**t i was loud. it was louder then my exhaust, but i didn't like the note of the sound, the exhaust sounded so much better so it had to go

Thanks for the advice winman. How did it go with just the xr6t snorkel?
