Yup my T5 made the biggest difference in my 6 cyl EF, its a shame the same variation in performance didnt come out of the 5ltr..........oh well. After a T5 mod I would say that cam & heads are probably a good way to go complimented by the exhaust, the prob is that Ive always been let down by exhaust systems. Ive had the JMM race series on my 4ltr and now Ive got the EL 185KW XR8 extractors, both of which I didnt get a great deal out of, cams on the other hand I did and thats the reason why I now develop them for the 6 cylinder.

I didn't get much out of my zorst either, I just installed it cause I was moving to a much lumpier cam. That's exactly what you gotta keep in mind, you can't chuck in a cam with rediculously high lift if you can't get those gases outta there quick smart. (I know that you would already know this, not an insult on your intelligence!)

I too didn't find much in my extractors and exhaust. Sounds really good, but thats about all.

Mind you I did have a 2.5" exhaust to begin with.

i just wanted to see what other ppl thought of there mod experiences..
cheers

Exhaust + Extractors your biggest gain first.
Stage 2 Cam from Crescent Motorsports (did 168rwkw in a eb wagon)/w adjustable timing gear.
Get a 3.08 ef/el stock diff (cheap as, or 3.45 lsd/3.23 lsd?) that'll pick you up a bit..

T5 maybe or 4 speed auto with shiftkit.

you have to start somewhere unfortunately!

Stage 1 cam from ALTED has done a 14.7 in a car with cat-back only.
As far as I know, CMS Stage 2 has done a 14.9 in a car with extractors and cat-back...which I also thought did 148rwkw....lol

IMO, ALTED Stage 1 is a very good cam for auto as it has very broad power band, and good to live with as it idles stock.

Holy crap that's impressive. What car was it? Is there a time slip? I'd love to hear what the Stage 2 does.

What was the cars figure before cam though?
See what would be really interesting, is for me to get a stage 2 Alted, and see what improvements it can make to a 17.9 :P

LOL, get you into the awesome 16's Steady ED.

The car was an EF XR6, probably good for a mid 15 stock.
