Howdy guys.

as you know, i have a s**t CPI motor in my EA, and its also on LPG.

now, i would love to do a MPFI conversion. A mate has a MPFI motor sittin which i can get all the parts off. Problem is, the Gas Convertor sits right where the airbox should be.

So, would i have to get LPG taken off/re-routed if i was to do the MPFI conversion?

as you can tell im not very LPG-mechanically minded.

cheers guys.

P.S. i tried a search to no avail.

It depends what setup you're using - I converted my XH from a log manifold to BBM - the converter and mixer were positioned on the passenger side, and needed to be relocated across from the exhaust. I did most of the relocation myself using the same converter/mixer(making intake ducting/making brackets) - if the LPG line is unbroken (i.e. no joins other than the connectors) from the tank to the converter, you are allowed one join AFAIK - I fitted a flex line with joiner to run the LPG line over to the otherside.

You need to find out whether your converter and mixer can still be used with MPFI, and you'll need an LPG installer to inspect your work.

i converted my CFI to MFI. it was on gas.

my car had a ring mixer which sat under the CFI throttle body. i got a simple ring mixer as all mpfi setups have and put it between the TB and the elbow as per another mpfi car.

the convertor will need to be moved. mine fit on a bracket on the passenger side shock mount, mounter vertically between the manifold and the shock tower. i just bent the existing tubing CAREFULLY around something large (sauce bottle, longneck, etc).

look around for photos of mpfi lpg cars. its pretty simple s**t.

good luck.
