hey all

i have a problem with my car sometimes when i drive the whole car blacks out no engine, no lights nothing then it comes back on is this got to do with the main fuses or circuit breakers

also it is using a s**t load of fuel i went on 200km drive and used more than half a tank on the freeway and dont even ask about the city

the only problem with it at the moment i can find is it has a small leak in the exhaust manifold gasket and it is lacking serious power

its a series 2 eb fairmont stock with k and n box filter

thankx

Just check your oil for water if u got cracked exhaust manifold might be blown head gasket.

and car cut out id day check you alternator charge rate with multimeter and check battery clamps, battery earths, body earths, and check condition of the earth and power cables off the battery.

thats all i can think of off the top of my head

let me know how u went and ill have a little read up and see what i can find

check the connection for the ignition switch. my ed had a problem where the harness connection worked itself loose and would just shut the whole car down. pretty scary driving at 100 on the highway and basically have your car turn off.
