Replace the thermostat (preferably the type with a 1/8th relief hole) and the recovery cap.

Caps can fail and hold in pressure and vise versa.

I also have a EL radiator I don't require copper core for $50 if you need it.

yeh they're around $20
I prefer the brand Stant

I would also be checking the thermo fan operation and or relays.

If your quite content, you can adjust the relays to get good contact to ensure the 2 speeds work.

yeh got brand new relays in the car day i picked it up the car sales people soaked it when washing the engine bay area lol so thats ok. thermos kick in at ''no''rmal but might be runnin lil hot too because the thermostat may be wrong or such, it did have a cracked heater tap when i got the car so its more likely the pressure is getting held in too much. i just got cash today and im already spending it lol so s**t but thats life

Hopefully you're not married to this radiator.... when she splits on you, you might be allowed to keep all of your house!! :)

Sorry to hijack.
How do you test a thermostat?
I installed a 81deg. One in august 09 and just recently the top radiator hose has been leaking around the connection to the radiator but only when its hot, seems to hold pressure for ages aswell.
Im gonna change the hose today but I wanna check the thermostat aswell.
Not running hot tho.

Put the thermostat in a pot and it opened up as the water was reaching boiling point so it seemed fine.
New top rad hose aswell, old one was swolen and leaking, found out the plastic conecter for the top hose has been dinted in about the width of my thumb.
Why plastic!!

The correct opening for temp for a thermostat is whatever is stamped on it.
