The Rod journal size goes right back to XM. It was my boss at the time [Peter Orger of Orger Engines] who suggested to Ford to use the lpg rod in the Turbo Motor, as the Turbo's where bending rods if they miss fired. Orger Engines did then & still do Ford Australia warranty rebuilds. Regards TPVM.

This is a pic of an AUII rod.

I received my BF turbo rods and pistons today (Ebay) and was surprised to see 1R23AA stamped on the rods. The picture says they are AUII's have I been dudded?

same length is about it.

there where a number of upgrades through the BA, as rod were apparently bending when E-gas engines backfired.

Do you know the differences between each rod? I'm thinking a sticky with those part numbers and a brief description and similar thing for pistons would be highly beneficial if someone has the info handy.
