I'be got a 1004. They are ground on a 112 LSA, whereas the 1004-14 has a 114LSA. All this means is a slightly better idle, and a little less power.

All the cams listed should be fine on the stock computer.

The wade cams will set you back about $200-$250 all up including postage, shims, lifter repair kit etc.

The crow I think will be around $400.

The JMM will set you back around $750 at least.

Another option is ALTED cams, around $300 I think, or CMS cams (not sure about the price).

For midrange power, good idle and economy I think the ALTED cam would be the go.

the CMS cams were around the 500 mark with a vernier cam gear

Yeah their alright, the ones listed are pretty mild. They are regrinds done by a camshaft company.

If you look at the other places, JMM & ALTED for example.... they are Inline 6 specialists.

I would presume you have a set of extractors and a sports exhaust?
Then the cam.

I would go chip first before cam. Why? Because A monster cam needs a chip.
