What car do you have?

If you have VCT, keep the cam(s) retarded. This will give good torque but less top end power.

Its going in a el fairmont, car has t5, 3.45 diff and the usual intake exhaust mods.. still these things are so heavy, really think more torque would make the car more fun to drive on the street and twisty stuff..

Get a retarded woodruff key for the cam gear. A few degrees will make a big difference. Just be sure that you wont do any mechanical damage before you fit it.

Isnt there a cam shaft shop that claim to sponser the site? They should be contactable ... if they are seriour about thier business.

I beleive your referring to Wade Cams.

http://www.wadecams.com is their website, and they have a forum here. I would say thats "contactable" enough for most peoples liking.

Okay, seems like its a toss up between the wade 977b with a 110 lobe sep or the cms stage 3.. does anyone know what the exact figures are on the cms cam? like intake exhaust lift, duration n that dealio.. couldn't seem to find that info anywhere.. also looking at comparisons of people running these cams in their cars, how they drive on the street, power figures and other mods they have??

Really like nailing the twisty stuff and showing all my ricer friends that you can still have a big comfortable 5 seater car with no turbo and still be a force through the corners.. torque be my friend!

Thanks in advance Jack.

if you want a nice torque spread then why grind the 977b with 110 lobes?

i had the same cam done like that and it was fun to drive as the power come on like boost, but turned it into more of a top end cam as well

what diff gears where are you running?, was sorta hoping 3.45's would be enough to get it on cam abit earlier.. might have to go abit taller..

Thanks Jack.

Have a look at a waggot 766 you can get it in a billet and it sounds like it would suit your needs. The 760 that I've got is a top end item

Do they have a website with their different cam profiles listed? I tried googling them but couldn't find anything

They're currently working on a website as we speak. If your after something in particular give them a call and pete will recomend one for you to match your mods and needs. I don't belive in advertising peoples intelectual property publicly so if you forward your email to me I'll send you the specs for mine and you can go from there. You should be able to get their number from the online white pages
