yes i have this cam fitted to my ed
i found that the car is very strong mid range and it gives good torque between 2200 and 4500rpm and still reves to 5500rpm..
it will go straight in ef and early el. the late el use a au type cam and wont fit straight in without changing rocker gear..

Try the CMS AUTO cam. It sounds impresive.
I have the WADE 1636 cam which is slightly bigger than the crow cam. The cam works exactly the same as TROYMANS cam.

shav in your other thread you mentioned you wanted about 160-170rwkw?

id say at least a wade 1673 or even a 977b.

or a crescent motorsport stage 3 head and cam package ;)

Thanks for your reply mate.

Yes thats my goal at this stage of 170rwkw.

I have made a post in the crescent MS section asking Joe if he did a St2 head and st3 cam for my AU, as there is no mention of a st3 cam for AU's only st2.

Also wade dont do off the shelf cams for AU's, I have asked them. They are reluctant to go down that path.

Jim Mock were the other alternatives but compared to Joe's research, Joe is first choice & JMM is a last resort.

hmmm. theres a youtube video of someone installing a 977b into an AU motor running in an EB XR6.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qH4FSW-Nuug

seems to run ok and sounds pretty mean too :)

Thanks for the link.

My guess is that person used E-series rocker gear on the AU motor to run that cam. Do you know if this was the case?

Other than that, it sounds impressive.

Bummer about them not doing AU cams... For a number of reasons... On that video link - just what is that guy doing poking his arm around where a DIZZY would be when talking about lumpy and hunting idle (about 2 minutes into video).

Is everyone sure that is an AU motor, or just an AU valve cover?

and you can fit a dizzy into an au engine...
if it is an au engine its more than likely running e series rocker gear..
