is it auto or manual?
its hard to get a lumpy cam to work in an auto with the std ecu..

but for something that will give you a bit of power in an auto maybe a wade 1636
if its manual you could go wade 1673 or 977b..

the 1673 isnt really lumpy. but the 977b might have a slight lope?..

but anything that is dramatically different (lumpy)will have running issues on the factory ecu..
are you going to run an afterket ecu or j3 chip and custom tune.

also anything bigger than these cams might also need heavier valve springs..

Hi, I have a 1673 in my EB1 with T5 and EL engine.

I have a slight lope at idle, and have great driveability throughout the rev range. You can really feel when the cam comes in at around the 3k mark and it then pulls strongly to the rev limit.

While a 'lumpy' exhaust at idle sounds great, it is not necessary for power to be made.

I have a mate that has a nice EL Ghia with a 'lumpy' exhaust. He has a LOT of head work done, a Stg 3 CMS cam, and uses a J3 chip with his factory ECU. He also has had to mod his ICS to enable some consistency in his idle after the engine gets hot.

He also needs to have some revs onboard to get tractable power, as it can be a bit of a pig at low revs. I wouldn't want to drive it in peak hour in the city.

Yes, I am currently using a std EL ECU. I am looking at purchasing a J3 chip with a tune for the 1673.

I will be adding a Vernier Cam Gear later to allow me to dial the cam in a bit better.

Cheers
