Hey guys

Just got my new exhaust system; my muffler was completely F***ed so i decided to do the whole lot. There were slight changes in the final setup thou as i got a hold of some 2nd hand exhaust parts for very cheap so yeah :)

So yeah thanks to fuz i was able to source some AU tickford parts. As he told me about the cats that AU's have.

This is the system i got- AU tickford hi-flowcat converter with a 2nd hand mandrel bent piping which is about 1 year old no rust or ne thing. into a Brand new Lukey race muffler.

All up it cost me just under $200!!!! I saved like $400!!! im stoked.

Oh yeah plus i got new brakes, the XR drives fkn nice now :D

Hehe, Got to love when you just get things done from when it was horrible before and car is feeling all schmicko and nice!

Good stuff dude! Keep an eye out on your rear muffler welds as its common to crack/snap on lowered EF/EL's all the time (3x it happened to me! Grr!)

I have just changed the full system on my EF xr 6 to a set of lukey extractors and full lukey system including hiflow cat. The difference is huge - powere increases are noticeable at both low and high revs. Even when just revving the car you can fell it revs up quicker.
It is noticebly smoother and i think it is using less fuel.
The difference is huge - a lot more than i expected.

Yeah just a muffler and cat thats it. Its not real noisy. But it sound really agressive so its cool. The guys at pitstop said it sounds dramatically different. They reckon with the old exhaust it sounded like a truck lol. WTF? ha ha that got me laughing for a while.

I have got both mufflers in still. THey reckon the power is not effected by the second muffler but it keeps it a lot quieter. THe car is my daily driver and needs to be a bit more 'respectable' so unfortunately my car is still faily quiet. Still sound alright when i get it revving.
What tip did you go for? I found it real difficult to choose. I did not want it to look to rice.

RICE IT UP!
Did you go for the neon surround exhuast tip - they are hot!
I chose the large oval shaped tip with the rolled lip - if that makes sense.
Looks kind of like the commodore VT SS except a bit more quality as it has the rolled lip. It is fairly subtle and fits the bumper cutout well.
