Anyone tried having this done on their in line 6 ?
Machine pumps in some cleaning agent for gum, carbon etc.
Interested to know if anyone has had experience with it. Good or bad.

It's called RCP I think, o idea what that stands for. I see it being done a lot at work, but not sure what kidna resuts you get. I'm considering getting that and / or a propper injector clean done to see if it does anythign with my miss.

Are you going by experience ?
I can get the carbon clean / tune for $95...
Six injectors at $50 = $300.00 , plus the throttle body cleaner ?

Well old injectors need more than a 'carbon clean' to to be done properly, at least a reco kit and sonic bath.

good thing the CARBON clean is designed to remove CARBON the PORTS , VALVES and CHAMBER. and secondly clean the injectors.
the benafit comes from removeing the carbon build up, not from cleaning the injectors.

but the amount of people that i see having injectors cleaned for not reason at all is just stupid. they bring them in we put them on the test rig and there is no problem with flow or spray patern, but try telling them they don't need cleaning. causes less problems just to clean them and take the money.

i've seens cars that would barely run drive perfectly after carbon cleans. EF's with poor idle restored to perfect idle, and a territory with 16000km that wouldnt run turn perfect after a carbon clean. I wasnt going to do it because i was convinced it was engine trouble, but fords instruction was carbon clean first, and it fixed it

What were your symptoms, dodgy at idle? Ford also suggested I get it done, but it made no difference at all... they still claim there is carbon in there causing the problem though?
