Gday i just got a new set of Pacemaker comps put on today and they are coated in this stuff called CermaKrome. I cant get over how much cooler the engine bay is and how much less heat is radiated off the extractors. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to get the intake manifold coated in this stuff aswell? it tends to get a bit heat soaked over time which cant be good for power im guessing.

Has anyone had there intake manifold coated before?

Cheers

They use the Cemrakrome stuff aswell, i got the extractors from pacemaker and pacemaker send them off to there CermaKrome division. I think i might have to save up a little and get a few other things caoted aswell

Cheers, i like the look of them too. I want to chuck it on the dyno to see if there was any extra power made with them, it would be interesting

What they dont tell you is that if your car has not been tuned properly then the coating will fade and go dull from a shine due to the extra heat of the exhuast gases.

Mine looked like yours when they were new but faded as I was playing around wiuth a J3 chip :(

Still look good faded and still does the job but no bling

lol, if you don't want them to fade don't drive it hard, and never put it on a dyno.

one of my mates has pacemakers with the same coating on his 5.7L VY SS and his are still like brand new and has had them on for 4 years he also drives the car hard.

I had Pacemaker comps on my car before but i found a crack in them so i got new ones under warrenty and got them to coat the new ones they were sending.
