hey there guys n gals hope u all had a merry xmas and got what u all wished for.
i have a bit of a problem and that is that i need to change the diff oil on my ef xr6 so if any 1 knows how to do it that be great if u told me as its starting to make really bad noices and needs to be changed.

Theres a bolt at the very bottom of the back cover of the diff, remove this and oil will drain out. it will drain out quicker when hot.
You can use any LSD diff oil in it, try a thicker one, eg: 85W140.
If the noise continues, then its rebuild time.

yeah cheers for that mate . and do i use the same hole to fill it back up again or is there another hole up the top?

I've just realised, its a wagon? The cover is steel, still don't over tighten the filler plug.

thanx cjh that was helpfull. theres new oil in and the noice that was in there earlier is gone and she goes well now cheers mate.
