Gday, just a question regarding batteries. I bought a new battery for my EF a few months back and flattened it on the first night, lol. So I got a bettery charger onto it over night and it worked fine in the car for 6 odd weeks, before it died again after a weekend of not using the car. So I charged it again and it worked for a month before dying again after a weekend of not using the car and so on. Once a battery has been drained of power and recharged is it always going to be a bit dodgy and weak from there on? I'm pretty sure the car doesn't have any power leaks and the alternator works fine. Would something mental like changing the water in it and re-charging fix the prob?

a new battery has a better chance of surviving a deep discharge but it will probably never be 100%...

are you 100% sure nothing is draining the battery while it is off? what size is the battery? always get the biggest battery you can fit in the tray, dont go off the recommended CCA rating that the shops give you.. waste of time...

What made it become flat the first night after you bought it?
