performance mods arent legal for p platers i thought, but if you want suggestions give us a price range to work with. my brother is on p's and he has a full exhaust on his car, cost him near enough $1000 for the whole thing fitted

I know I will be told I am sounding like a broken record but, I would be looking at changing the front discs and rotors to BA type and changing the brake booster/master cylinder to AU II/III type.

To do this you will need to change the lower suspension control arms, stub axles and sway bar.
It may sound like a lot of trouble to go to but you will be VERY happy with the end results. Most wreckers can sell you these items fairly cheap and the beauty of it is, the who lot off the front of a BA or BF will fit your AU1.

It won't make the car any faster, but maybe tidy up your amp wiring and get rid of the ocky strap around your sub box.

I've seen you say that a lot on here, but trust me, if I had an AU, or could do that to my EL, I would have done it long ago. It's definitely a worthwhile mod! :D

Thank you for understanding. I always think it is most important to make sure the bloody things stop not just LOOK good. :)

In saying that, a car can only stop as good as the tyres are......meaning, If you can lock up the wheels, then the tyres are past their adhesion point.
I can, and have in a panic ( sudden lane change by d!ckheads  ) locked up the wheels ( momentarily ) on my ED Falcon sedan, shod with 235/60R15's.....which have a way larger footprint than the stock 205/65R15's, or even the Povo pack 195/75R14's.......but bigger brakes are nice.
