i have done quite a few rockercovers, if you end up painting it be sure to get it sand blasted first then file off any inperfections that ford may have left behind. then paint with engine enamel. i have dont a black one to look factory, a red 3.9 a red EL cover and a yellow 3.9 and i also sanded either the fins or the text on the cover and they come out looking stunning. next im trying that new chrome (annodised) paint

I've polished mine, but the problem is it often needs a bit of attention with metal polish to keep it looking good.

So I want to get mine chromed. I went down to an electroplater and he quoted me $150 to do it.

It would probably be a bit more for a rocker cover that hasn't already been polished as he has to make sure they are smooth first.

Every couple of weeks I just have to go out with the metal polish and a rag.
Rub a little bit in and buff out, probably takes around 15 minutes to do the rocker cover and bbm.

EF/EL ones are different to EA-ED ones.

If I confused you before, I thought you were asking if EF same as EL.
