OK i've refined the electrical crisis going on with the Mont, lol. I accidently hooked the + to the - and vice versa with the new battery, the car had fit when this happened. When the cars running the battery is slowly getting drained of powa and the low circuit voltage light is on with the volts gauge. There is no alternator light showing on the dash, so what could be the prob. It appears the car just running off the battery and isn't being charged. Have I scrambled something in the system?

you've prolly Blown the fusible link in the enginebay.

If this isn't the case, you may have cooked the alternator diodes and or regulator.

seek both.

Undo the alternator wiring if the fusible link isn't blown.

If you have killed the alternator, I have a good used unit from My car you can have for $30, but make sure this is the issue.

if you look at the positive terminal, you'll see lots of smaller wires connecting to it as well.. several of them are fusable links... (meaning wires that will blow like a fuse to save the rest of the wiring harness)

I hereby announce that the title 'Circuit Crisis' shall be stolen by me for the use in an epic scifi book, movie and merchandise franchise.
