Hey all,

MY EL dual fuel sometimes stalls coming to a stop at say an intersection, and a lot of other times, under braking or just rolling to a stop the revs drop really low (200-400rpm) before increasing back to normal idle.
I have been told that it may be that my ISC needs cleaning and it's not doing it's job properly. Does this sound right?
If so, where exactly is it and what does it look like? and how do i clean it?

Thanks all.

so what ur saying is that under braking (even sudden braking) that the cars idle will drop low, and sometimes even stall? what about when u rev it a bit (two stabs at the throttle) and leave it..does it stall too?

anyway i had a problem like this and i cleaned my ISC.

you could even disconnect it, it may run a bit better but see how that goes!

I would check the balance tube if you have one is still connected and leak free.

also play around with ur idle screws... wat i did was disconnect your ISC, then playu with the idle screw, should read about 750rpm on the dash.
then reconnect the cleaned isc via the plug.

cars been running fine with it.. i used to get p****d off when braking and turning into corners cos it would stall!

hmm my wagon was doing the same thing, so i had a look over it and found when it had backfired once it had blown all the clips off the air filter box and had spilt the air hose from the box to the mixer. fixed all that up and now its as good as gold.

If it has one it runs from a tube on the air box to the LPG convertor, it is about 25mm in diameter so you can't miss it.

yep my EL falc had the same issues stalling etc when slowing down, cleanded the isc and runs fine now. i believe my K&N airfilter may have contibuted to the problem being quite oily and all.
