well got my coonversion got told its out of a 92 eb falcon so went picked up the clutch for it..


now i just checkedit against the clutch that cam out ofthe car and it is the wrong size ne 1 know or couldhelp me in which clutch it couldbe from ?>

The newer one in the first pic is an EA is it not. The other one is the latter version from EB onward.

this is all that i needed just after i finish putting the peddel box in and ready to rip the auto out with everything undone.

yeh no car to run around and they havnt got the other one in stock . so looks like i willhave to drop the old one in then go and exchange it this week then next weekedn rip it out again and put the new one in....

this is going to suck !!!

Yep the one on the left is a 3 bolt EA setup as mentioned. Clutch plate is 9.5" as opposed to the 6 bolter setup which is 10" IIRC. Check your transmission as well - mark the input shaft and the cover tube and mark the output shaft the same - select 1st gear and rotate the output shaft one revolution - if the input shaft spins 3¼ turns, it's an EBII onwards box, if 3½ turns, it's an EA-EBI box or earlier. Otherwise, just visually it's hard to spot any difference. Just because they say it's out of an EB falcon, doesn't mean a replacement or conversion has not been installed from another model.
And as for the exchange kit, yeah, they need a floggin - you'll find the 3 bolt kit is cheaper than the 6 bolt one, so definitely get the right one, particularly if they charged you for it.

had the same prob hazza.. i thought my gearbox was out of an EB manual so i bought the eb one and it was to big, to many bolts aswell

so i went back got an EA one and it fitted fine..

what sorta clutch did ya get?

well ened up giving up and getting the auto out befor the light was gone. got that alll out and gotthe fly wheel off then compared it tothe one i got from the wrecker andyeh asu can see in the pic it aitnt going to fit / bolt to the motor.

so going to head back to the wrecker tomorow arvo after work toget the right one.

left is the fly wheel the wrecker gave me right is my auto one.

thanks for that snap 0964 just did the test and it cam back to a eb IIonwards box..

. so what would be the clutch /flywheel toget ?? ????

considering the clutch above on the right is an eb onward one and matches he flywheel but he fly wheel dosnt match the motor ??
