Is it possible for coil pack to die on one cylinder only? Have lost spark to number 3 cylinder.

Cheers

If you have lost spark to one cylinder only, check your leads. Coil pack failure will result in two cylinders with no spark or none at all.

do the coil packs sometimes fire a yellow spark rather than a blue spark if not working 100%???

What i am trying to say is that when my coil pack "packed" it in, i had #2 not firing but #5 getting a faint or yellow spark compared to the rest of the leads.

Also you can run a multimeter on the coil pack #3 & #6 & see if you are getting a continuous circuit & also check the resistance values. If the resistance values of #1/#4 & #2/#5 are identical yet #3/#6 are somewhat different then chances are the coil pack has "packed it in" :-)

#1 = POINT NUMBER 1 or Lead connection number 1 on the coil pack
#2 = POINT NUMBER 2 or Lead connection number 2 on the coil pack
and so forth & so forth

Coil Pack, not coil on plug.
