http://www.pacemaker.com.au

PH 4499 (Standard):
Prim. Pipe 1 5/8" 41mm
Sec. Pipe 1 7/8" 48mm
Outlet (flanged) 2 ½" 63mm

PH4480 (Competition Header):
Prim. Pipe 1½ " 38mm
Sec. Pipe 1 7/8¾" 44mm
Outlet (flanged) 2 ½" 63mm

As you can see from the specs pulled off the Pacemaker website, the Competitions, part number PH4480 (the second list show) have small Primaries (by 3mm) and Secondaries (by 4mm) than the Standards, PH4499 (first on list). Same sized outlet. Hope this helps clear things up.

Nothing more to discuss, I mean you can't really argue with the dimensions supplied by Pacemaker. I guess who ever told you was talking out of there hole.
