Hey guys i found a old topic here
http://www.fordmods.com/ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/ba-motor-into-a-au-t39655-15.html
was wondering if any one had herd any more about the progress?
My engine is running crap just brought a spare engine till this one dies :?
I have been thinking about buying a ba Dohc to do up in the mean time and drop her in later.
thinking if i run a aftermarket ecu or some thing along the lines to sort out the problem with the lower rpm its should be all sweet :D

Well some people have successfully completed this conversion, getting the motor in, running and doing everything it should, however not sure how much money was thrown in or the legalities of it all. If you do a search, you'll find plenty of information. And no I did not do this conversion since I am poor as a bum on the streets.

I read up on it as I am replacing the engine in my EL.. You have to change the ECU, which means wiring loom, and problems getting the cluster to work... then you have to get Air Conditioning etc.. and all accessories to work.. I've head prices of about $5000 to get it all done including the engine..
Have a search for it as there is a few people on here that have done it.

Have you considered either of the AU XR6 engines.. the XR6 HP engine is 162kw and should be a straight drop in (as far as I know), and the AU VCT engine can be put in with a bit of effort but nothing like a BA engine.
