hi.

just wondering if its possible to convert to coil packs in a ed an use all ed wiring including ecu/electronics.

ifso how would you wire a ed for coil packs using all ed wiring including ecu/electronics.

if you put a distributor aux shaft in a au engine how likely will it be that the gears will get chewed using a distributor in a au engine

do people do a engine swap with reco head attached or put new heads on the old engines in the ea-ed

no !!! its not possible....

you either need a complete aftermarket ecu or you will need to fit a ef engine loom and ecu...

does the ef engine bay harness plug straight into the ed dash an cabin wiring an all the ed fairmont electronics will work? or what do you need to do to get them to work.

also how likely will it be that the gears get chewed using a new or secondhand distributor if you put a new distributor aux shaft in a au engine instead of the original coil pack

will it matter if a aux shaft is replaced as well to a distributor type to be safe

how long would it take a mechanic to cut areas in the au engines to keep the ed 3 belt setup to go in a ed model and will cutting out a groove where the 3 belt alternator goes and grind the timing cover to fit the 3 belt idler pulleys and sump to go into a ed model as a standard ed engine would

it doesnt matter as the aux shaft has the same part number from ea to au making them the same
