I currently have a column shift auto EB with a front bench seat and want to convert it in the future to a manual and put bucket seats in. what implications does the column shift have?

If its like the older cars it wont really have any. You just rip the coloumn shifter out and get a standard replacement shroud to put around it.
Does that answer your question?
