1st gear is just like foreplay, it's ok, but you want it to go as fast as you can and get it out of the way so you can get into the real sh*t!

if there is nothing wrong with the 3.9 head its not really nessecary, a few people have done it around here,

youll need:
EA MPFI ECU (i have one)
MPFI manifold+injectors+rail+loom (i have one)
MPFI Dizzy + fuel pump
MPFI accel cable

and you need to run a few wires about the place
ive probably missed somethign but thats about it

The good old MPFI conversion, these going really well and all is fine, or fail and you wonder why you did it.

Swapping all the looms will mean instant success, splicing and dicing the CFI looms can be done and with success and refer my first comments.

Good luck with it and well worth the effort from all accounts I have read.

hey if u want u can have all the parts from my EA Fairmont Ghia. it is a 3 speed so the ECU dun really matter if u have a 5 speed manual since the ECU never controlled the tranny in a 3 speed. so if u want pm me if ur interested in parts.

phong =P~

Yep the only thing I had an issue with when I did the mpfi conversion to my EA was the kickdown cable, it ends up being 6 inches too short. The kick down cable actually attaches inside the gearbox which makes replacment rather difficult

if doing a manual convert will we need a manual computer? or can the auto computer be "tricked" into working correctly, if doing the mpfi convert at the same time using the 3 speed auto componants will this even matter?
