mmm

with it highly polished it should reflect the heat

80mm copper is $60 a metre! :( bends are only $12
so at least $100

It will reflect radiant heat, but will absorb it from the hot air that surrounds it.

When you go to the drags you can wrap it with cold packs or dry ice and cool off the intake air.

Won't it turn a horrible green and tarnish if left exposed to air for too long? Or am I thinking of the wrong metal from shop in grade 10 :)

yes/no

copper will leave a green mark on skin if left there ( common for ppl with arthritis to wear coppen bands )

goes more a browny colour

but by keeping it polished i hope to avoid this

if its cheap, id give it a go and see what happens. worst comes to worst you can put your old one back on and shove the copper one on ebay and some d**k would probably pay double what you paid to have it made. even more if you stuck on a tickford badge :P

Maybe you could get the copper pipes electroplated in some other metal, is that usually expensive?

Copper = very easy to dent, and snap if not bent right.... Happens to me at work all the time.. but i hear its very good for Exhausts....
