Hey there all

Just wondering if anyone can tell me where to find the Crank Angle Sensor in my 1994 ED XR6... I heard that apparently cleaning it will make my car start first time every time. Also if you have any other suggestions for making it start first go, throw them at me. I've practically tried everything...

Cheers all

ED's dont have a crank angle sensor, they still have a distributor.

A leaking fuel injector and/or fuel pressure regulator can cause hard too start problems.

Also faulty ignition leads with high resistance can lead to longer or hard starting.

If it is hard to start I'd recommend checking the fuel pump. The fuel pumps on the ED's generally have a life span of approximately 200,000 K's.
I replaced mine last year due to starting difficulties, The same with my mate's EL.....Both cars start first time every time now.
