i fexed it in my car, i played around with the auto transmission link under the dash just making sure they were connected well to short it out, and made sure the brake switch was on pretty tight to the brake master cylinder, and yeah i did that then it worked fine. good luck!

big switch hanging off the side of the brake master cylinder at the front. usually leak around there, if its wet id try swapping with a dry clean one from wreckers.

I had the same problem with mine it would turn on and sometimes engage and sometimes not and would also turn off when I hit a pot hole. I ended up just replacing the switch and it worked fine. So if all else fails just get another switch.

I had the exact same problem and ended up replacing the cruise control module ($40 from wrecker). Pretty simple to replace and it fixed the problem.

The module is located on the right hand side of the engine bay next to the brake booster

 Follow the cruise cable from the throttle body to the module

possibly off topic, but are you running a speedo corrector by any chance?

it seems when you upgrade diff gears to 3.7+ and use a speedo corrector, the cruise control stops working
