whats the diffrance between 3.9 and 4.0 heads? im after a cheap 4.0 head in canberra

The biggest difference would be the swirl ridge that was ditched when ford went 4.0

i have a die grinder so that could soon be removed. any other diffrances? ie comp ratio and will it bolt up to a 4.0 with multipoint?

It will bolt up

The compression ratio is the same, but the 3.9 pistons have a bigger dish (because of the swirl ridge).
