hey guys... now that the engine is in, and almost completely paid off... time for stage 2 (other than changing insurance cause those damn people at RACV wont touch anyone with extractors, not me anyway)

Basically, ive had two different exhausts quoted... and came up around the same ballpark figure..

this is:
1. Full Defillpo exhaust supplied
2. XForce polished stainless extractors - Magnaflow Cat - 2 x straight through mufflers - 2 1/2 inch cat back mandrel bend (Fitted)

both have come up around $1200, although defillipo is supply only, and the other is fitted...

opinions?

yeah thats what i figured... another question, has anyone heard of these Xforce extractors? ive heard its an American company coming into the Australian automotive market, and targetting mainly Falcons and Commonwhores. Apprently a good rival to pacies (so says the installer, which obviously, you wouldnt trust them as far as you could throw them)

so im thinking its either go down the same road and be the same as most people who get pacies, or go for these polished stainless (in my opinion looks better) Xforce numbers?

Nothing is.

But there is also no harm in following proven tracks.

in the end it has come down to looks... i prefer the look of a nice polished stainless set of headers, than the plain blue... nothing against the look, id just rather not have the same headers under the bay that everyone else does...

at least i can shine light down a track for future modders ;)

Some times its good to be a pioneer.

I took the sheepish route for my extractors and got Pacie comps, but with my cam route, I took a stab in the dark with the Alted stage 3 :D

from what ive heard thats nowhere near a stab in the dark ;) i salute the boys for the work they're doing... and once my engine is 100% ready, and i have the exhaust bolted on and an aftermarket ecu on standby, ill be going a stage 3 alted as well.

you'll find the pacie comps will hold back power with that cam.
the primary pipe is far to small you need some thing closser to 44mm pipe if your using a stock head. pacie comps have a 38mm primary pipe.
PH 4499s have a 41mm primary pipe.

but neither of them have enough length to suit that cam
