Not getting defensive :) Just seeing the start of a usual JJM thread :D

You know the usual "there over priced" and "there dyno reads to high"
oh and my favourite "there figures come from a second gear power run"

But yes It's performance seems to be doing the right thing from what I've herd, yet to see any dyno graphs to prove his claims :D but from what I've read on his thread can't see why it wouldn't make the power he says.

You can always try bits and pieces from all the best tuners or go with a kit like JMM's and pay the premium.

I bought their cam and paid the premium and am happy with it.

i didn't get the full kit prefering the pacemakers Ph4480 extractors but what the hell it all goes well enough for me.

in the auto fairmont wagon its no rocketship still but i am a full second quicker over the 400m than when i started. Dyno wise who knows i have had from 120-138-142 rwkw on different dynos and different days.

$2700 for 146rwkw, but yeah, ive also looked at ITS preformance and would probably got that way if they were in vic. pity.

yeah in 2nd gear, 130 in the propper gear

Hmm very interesting!!! Secind gear and proper gear hey? If second is not proper then 3rd is ..isnt it? Well my last dyno run in 3rd gear and 147 rwks must equal an improper second gear of 163 rwkws.

Should be the same power figure no matter what gear you run in

Remember rear wheel rpm x rear wheel torque = rear wheel power

all i have been told by alot of ppl , it should be done in 3rd, its more 1 to 1 ratio

Third gear dyno runs in one to one ratio appeal to everyone as being the best thing to do but mostly beacuse it doesn't multiply the torque output as much as second gear and put a bigger strain on the dyno overheating it.

The power is the same in any gear.

In a speed limited 180kmh falcon six though third gear at the limiter may well be below peak power. Hence second gear runs from Ford specialists who know what they are doing!!!

Yep I agree on that. 3rd gear is where it is 1:1. However as JonBays has pointed out the speed limiter cuts the engine out before full power is achieved . I always get lower power reading in second gear as opposed too 3rd so I must be against the norm.
