Now thats what I'm talking abot!
Thats more reasonable. So all I need now is a 3.7 ratio feedback.

There is no speedo gear for 3.9 gears so a transducer has to be added and calibrated on a dyno (was included in the conversion for me, i think the transducer was around $80).

my car does 2050rpm @ 100 in 4th gear on the auto with a 3.45 diff.

3.7 would have it at 2200rpm @ 100
3.9 would have it at 2325rpm @ 100
4.1 would have it at 2450rpm @ 100

really not THAT bad... but then keep in mind you'll often do 110/120

i have 4.1 in my 5L Auto and i do about 2500rpm @ 100kms......wouldnt the I6 have to rev more to get the same speed as a v8

no because the gearing is pretty similar in both. also the power and torque are very similar also. ef is only 8kw and about 15-20nM less than the v8.

They also changed my 9" to LSD and changed the ratio to 4.11, they were awsome, I give my car HEAPS and theres been no dramas! Great service, even better back up service. Ive been back with a conscern before and Alex was more than happy to come for a drive with me and listen for problems, 6 months AFTER I got the work done!, turns out the problem was unrelated but still they helped me find it and put me onto someone that could help fix it. So dont just paysome one out, document your problem so others can avoid it or shut the hell up nannas_ed.
