Ratio should be marked on a tag mounted on the diff centre cover plate

If it hasnt been pulled off/lost in the last 20 yrs, what does the build plate say, should have a code for axle.

cant remember it will be either 3.23:1 or 3.5:1
there will be a tag bolted to the backing plate on the diff near where you would fill the oil. this tag will have it written on it.
if not remove the backing plate and count the teeth on the pinion and the crownwheel.
the formula is easy

flywheel teeth / pinion teeth = ratio :1

Thanks for the advice. I checked the tag on the diff. It has a 3.23 ratio.
I also have a diff(disc, limo) in my 79LTD(351C+T5 finespline HD box) with a 2.77 ratio. I am about to put twin TO3 turbo's on the 4.1 and was wondering which would be the better ratio? The LTD diff is going into the panelvan. Is it possible to swap the gears or would the 3.23 six gears be weaker than the 2.77 V8 gears?

you cant swap the 2.77 /3.23 gears the carrier is different
you would need to change the whole diff
